I was feeling inferior, so I was treated as inferior by people. However, as soon as I made small changes in my attitude towards myself, I noticed that others were more positive towards me. How did I accomplish this? It's not a novel idea, I know however I was able to create it. I conducted an informal inventory of my own personality to determine what people seemed to appreciate about me and react positively to. I also noticed some small glimpses of things I felt I could develop on. Making it up to create it I was so unsure or faith in myself that I made an identity, a brand new identity I played out and I named him Isaac Isaac, which was my nickname for myself. It seemed that this got an enthusiastic response, and I decided to run for the position of Students Union as Treasurer and ran as Isaac. The persona Isaac had a loud personality, bold humorous and confident and it worked since Isaac was elected Treasurer. It was enjoyable and fascinating to play this character however, deep within I was unsecure and lacking self-worth. Transformation After achieving this initial success, I was then responsible for organizing all rock events at the college , as well as hiring bands as well as the people who managed the bars. I was in a prominent position and I had a fantastic time as well as a wonderful social life. What an amazing transformation! I had the best time of the rest of my days as Isaac. But, in the inside, the "real me", Stephen was lacking confidence in myself, but finally I discovered a path forward and something I could build on. The next issue was to figure out how to get rid of Isaac and allow Stephen to become the self-confident and socially successful person... however, this is beyond the scope of this article , and is a topic for another time.
